La Première Coupe [la prəˈmjɛʁ kup] – The First Cut

Amongst the many ballet brands that often make beautiful leotards and ballet wear, we always felt that one thing was missing.

It wasn’t a lack of style, many brands create stunning designs.
It wasn’t the quality of the fabrics, we could point to leotards that were a delight to wear.
It wasn’t the comfort, some of the leotards out there are more comfortable than pyjamas.

What we really lacked was authenticity of style, sustainability of materials and improvement of the ballet technique at the heart of the company.

So it was time to act, to take the first step, the first design and finally – the first cut (French: “La Première Coupe”)

“La Première Coupe” is more than just a name; it symbolises the beginning of our journey as a brand.
